Now that I have Friday’s off, I decided to make myself productive instead of sleeping in. Crazy, right? I was up by 6:45, making breakfast by 7, and now I’m writing until it’s time to go train. I’ve been trying this new thing, well, new to me anyways. Butter in coffee. Good butter. Not that margarine crap. To be honest, I’ve never really cared for coffee; But, I have been researching the health benefits and figured I would give it a try.
So far I can tolerate it. It really enhances the natural flavor and makes it extra smooth. I eat Keto so this is actually great since I need the extra fat. It keeps me feeling full since I typically eat breakfast late in the morning. FYI, it also enhances the natural diuretic aspect of coffee. If you typically drink your morning cup of Joe before hitting the gym or going to work, give yourself some extra time. Aside from that, it is a great metabolism booster, appetite suppressant (not intended to replace snacks or meals), and keeps you from resorting to your daily Red Bull or Monster.
- Egg Whites w/ Chopped Broccoli & Peppers
- Blackberries & Strawberries Drizzled in 1 tbsp of Honey
It took me 5 minutes to cook since I already had the broccoli & peppers left over from meal prep. Sometimes you already have a great meal in your fridge, you just have to put the pieces together.
Coffee: 1 cup – 1 tbsp Kerrygold Irish Butter (unsalted) – 1 tbsp Stevia – 1 tbsp Sugar-Free Powder Creamer. ≈130cals
